Tin Plating

We have a modern processing plant which is capable of providing a wide variety of electroplating services to meet the demands of all our customers; always aiming to exceed their expectations.

We offer a bright tin finish as our standard tin process; but can also offer matt (pure) tin, and Tin Lead on request to meet the varied demands of the end user. We can also offer a copper plate undercoat for tin, normally specified when the substrate is brass or steel.

Our main activity is in the tin electroplating of components for the Rail, Automotive, Renewables, Electrical, Lightening & Earth along with Electro-mechanical industries.

The combination of barrel and vat processing facilities give us the ability to plate volumes of small components as well as larger items that need to be individually jigged. Terminals, fasteners, busbars, larger pressings and castings are amongst the many items that pass through our plating department.

With the growing interest in Electric Vehicles and Wind Turbines, tin plated for these industries are becoming an important addition to our activities.

We plate onto most substrates including copper, phosphor bronze, brass, steel and zinc die-casts.

We are able to plate deposits in the range of 2 to 25 microns, but higher deposits are available especially as required in the food industry.

With our in-house laboratory and trained electroplaters, we ensure that a tin coating solution from DDG Plating is analysed and operated within its optimum parameters. As a result of this we are able to maintain excellent consistency for all our tin-plated finishes.
