Yellow (hexavalent) zinc passivate, also known as zinc & colour, is a thick layer passivate. It is very popular, due to its great protection and attractive deep yellow iridescent colour. It offers better protection in comparison with blue or black. It withstands from 140 hours of salt spray to white corrosion.
The colour is very intense and inconsistent as it changes through the process and varies on different material.
Zinc and yellow passivate / 'Zinc and colour' / Zinc and gold' is used in a wide range of applications.
It offers an attractive colourful finish, great corrosion protection. It can be used in barrel or rack plated items.
Offers a great base layer for powder coating.
