Black passivate is also very popular, due to its attractive modern black colour with slight hint of iridescence. It is, just like the standard blue, less protective passivate in comparison with green and yellow. It gives on average a protection of 24-48 hours of salt spray testing to white corrosion.
We offer a hexavalent and trivalent (Reach & ROHS compliant) version as well as a top coat layer as a standard for the extra protection.
'Zinc and black' is used in a wide range of applications, but not recommended on moving parts as scratch prone.
